Compact recorder for mobile professionals

The Soundcore Work Portable AI Voice Recorder weighs 48 grams and connects via Bluetooth to smartphones. A single press starts recording and the built-in GPT-powered engine produces transcriptions and structured summaries automatically. It is designed for people who need searchable meeting notes without carrying a laptop or separate microphone.

Privacy-focused processing

Audio and transcription data are deleted from the cloud after processing and stored locally on the paired phone with AES-256 encryption. Transfer uses TLS 1.3 and ECDH with AES-256, while unretrieved files are kept for up to 7 days. The device requires one 9 V battery and has no fan, so it operates silently during long sessions.

Included services and compatibility

The package provides six months of Pro transcription credits at no charge and supports cross-meeting summaries with smart templates. Double-tap marking lets users flag important moments while recording. MFi certification ensures broad iPhone compatibility from iPhone 8 onward, and a USB Type-C port handles charging and data sync.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the lavalier microphone and pair the recorder with my phone, and what step do people often miss?

Clip the lavalier mic to clothing, connect via USB Type-C to charge, then pair over Bluetooth in the Soundcore app; the step most users miss is granting microphone and location permissions so the app can receive the encrypted AES-256 transcriptions.

What will need replacement or maintenance after months of daily use?

The built-in 9 V battery is not user-replaceable; when its capacity drops you will need to send the unit in for service. The 8 GB internal storage has no expansion slot, so you must regularly offload recordings through the app to avoid running out of space.

What limit appears first during a long recording session?

The 8 GB memory fills before the battery runs out; at typical quality settings you will hit the storage ceiling first and must offload files via the app to continue recording.
