Acoustic Wedge Foam for Sound Treatment

This pack contains twelve wedge-pattern foam panels measuring two by twelve by twelve inches. The set includes six charcoal and six yellow tiles that together cover twelve square feet. An overall Noise Reduction Coefficient of .65 indicates effective absorption of mid-to-high frequencies. The material is fire retardant and manufactured in the USA.

Suits Podcasts and Small Studios.

The panels work well in podcasting booths, home theaters, video-conference rooms and similar small-to-medium spaces where flutter echoes and standing waves need taming. Installation options include pins, spray adhesive or 3M Command Strips. Rooms that require strong low-frequency absorption will need thicker bass traps or additional treatment beyond these wedges.

NRC .65 Determines Fit for Mid-Range Absorption

The single figure that decides suitability is the Noise Reduction Coefficient of .65, which shows solid performance for voice and instrument clarity. If your project demands higher broadband absorption or specific low-frequency targeting, this rating signals that a different product class is required.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware or adhesive do I need to install the 2" x 12" x 12" foam panels?

The panels can be secured using pins, spray adhesive, or 3M Command Strips depending on your wall surface and whether you need a removable installation.

Will adding these NRC 0.65 panels to a room that already has carpet and curtains make a noticeable difference?

Yes, the wedge profile targets standing waves and flutter echoes that soft furnishings do not absorb, so you will hear reduced ringing especially in the mid-to-high frequencies.

How can I verify the foam is performing as expected after I put it up?

Clap sharply in the treated room; a clear, quick decay without metallic ringing or prolonged flutter indicates the panels are absorbing reflections effectively.
