Coax Prep Tool for Cable Work

The Southwire 58743440 Coax Prep Tool is a handheld stripper built for coaxial cable. It performs slitting and stripping in a single operation. The tool has a standard cushion grip and a transparent housing. It is sold new and ships from the supplier when the order reaches 75.

Installers preparing coax runs

Technicians who need to slit and strip coaxial cable on site will find the tool matches that workflow. The standard grip suits repetitive use without insulated handles. Buyers who require insulated grips for live-circuit safety should look at a different tool. The product is not intended for non-coaxial wire types.

9-29/32 inch overall length

The tool measures 9-29/32 inches from end to end. This length determines whether it fits in a tool pouch or reaches into tight enclosures. California Proposition 65 warnings apply because the product contains listed chemicals. Confirm the length fits your kit before ordering.
