Two-pack six-inch extension cords

This two-pack of six-inch power extension cords adds a short reach to wall outlets or power strips. Each cord carries a NEMA 5-15P plug and a NEMA 5-15R receptacle rated for 125 volts and 13 amps. The 16 AWG three-conductor cable uses pure copper wire inside a wear-resistant PVC jacket. UL listing confirms compliance with US safety standards.

Sustained-load behaviour

The 16 AWG conductors are rated for continuous operation at 13 amps, delivering up to 1625 watts without overheating. Full-moulded connectors and the SJT jacket protect the copper cores from strain during prolonged use. The short length minimises voltage drop, so connected appliances receive stable power throughout extended running periods.

Pre-order checklist

Verify that your devices use standard three-prong or two-prong plugs compatible with NEMA 5-15 sockets. Confirm the outlet or strip supplies 125 volts and that total connected load stays within the 13 amp rating. Ensure the six-inch length provides enough reach for your layout without creating tension on the connectors.

Questions about this item

Does the 16 AWG cord generate noticeable heat when run continuously at 13 A?

The cord uses 16 AWG pure copper conductors rated for 13 A and 1625 W, so under normal indoor loads it stays within its thermal limits.

What type of outlets and plugs must I already have to use these 6-inch extensions?

Both ends are NEMA 5-15, so you need standard North-American 125 V three-prong wall receptacles and matching appliance plugs.

Will the short 6-inch length work with the bulky transformer blocks on my older office equipment?

Yes, the compact 6-inch design is made to clear adjacent outlets on a power strip, letting large wall-wart adapters sit side by side.
