5-Pack 6-Inch Grounded Extensions

This 5-pack of SPARKING power extension cords adds a short 6-inch reach to crowded outlets. Each cord uses a 16AWG three-conductor cable rated for 125 volts at 13 amps. The NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15R connectors provide a grounded three-prong connection. UL listed certification confirms compliance with US safety standards.

Compact Outlet Saver Design

The short length prevents bulky adapters from blocking adjacent sockets on power strips or UPS units. A 16AWG wire gauge supports common household appliances and electronics without voltage drop over this distance. Black PVC jacketing resists wear in indoor environments. The value pack supplies five cords for multiple workstations or entertainment centres.

Check Plug Spacing And Load

Verify that your power strip or wall outlet spacing accepts a 6-inch cord without strain on the connectors. Confirm each connected device draws less than 13 amps to stay within the cord rating. These cords are indoor only and not rated for outdoor or wet locations. Ensure the grounded prong matches your receptacle type before use.

Questions about this item

Does the 16AWG wire gauge on these cords ever need replacement under normal indoor use?

The 16AWG construction is rated for 13A at 125V and carries UL listing, so the cords do not require scheduled replacement if used within those limits.

What is the first limit reached when running a 13A load continuously through the NEMA 5-15P plug?

The 13A rating is the maximum continuous current the 16AWG cable and grounded connectors are certified to carry without overheating.

How much heat does the 6-inch length produce when powering a 13A appliance all day?

At the full 13A rating the short 16AWG run stays within UL temperature limits, so heat remains low enough for safe indoor operation.
