A 1-pole DIN-rail thermal-magnetic breaker rated 2 A at 250 V AC for copper wire 16–10 AWG
The SQUARE D 9080GCB20 is a single-pole circuit protector rated at 2 A and 250 V AC. It mounts on standard DIN track and accepts copper conductors from 16 AWG to 10 AWG. This breaker suits control panels and machinery circuits requiring compact overcurrent protection. Builders needing higher current ratings or multi-pole configurations should select a different model.
The device uses thermal magnetic tripping to interrupt fault currents while tolerating brief inrush. It meets DIN 57470, UL 1077 and CSA C 22.2 No 235 standards for supplementary protection. The black housing measures 3.11 in long, 3.15 in deep and .5 in wide for dense rail mounting. No auxiliary contacts or remote signalling features are included.
The 2 ampere current rating is the single specification that determines whether this protector matches the load. It will trip on sustained overcurrent above this value, so the circuit design must stay within the limit. Verify the application current before purchase.

Clip the single-pole housing onto a standard DIN rail; the step often missed is tightening the terminal screws to the 10 AWG maximum wire size after seating the breaker.
The thermal-magnetic mechanism is not serviceable; replace the breaker if it trips repeatedly at 2 A or shows discoloration on the black housing.
The 2 A thermal trip curve activates before the 250 V AC magnetic threshold, so sustained currents above 2 A will open the circuit first.
