SQUARE D AL250JD Mechanical Lug

The SQUARE D AL250JD is a set of three aluminum mechanical lugs rated for 250 A at 600V AC. They are designed for use with Powerpact J Frame circuit breakers in electrical distribution panels. Electricians and panel builders use them to terminate large conductors securely.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify that the breaker frame accepts Powerpact J Frame accessories and that the lug mounting location matches the breaker layout. Confirm the conductor size falls between 3 AWG and 350 MCM for a proper fit. Ensure the panel’s voltage rating accommodates 600V AC.

Behaviour under sustained load

The lugs maintain a stable mechanical connection when carrying continuous current up to 250 A. Aluminum construction resists loosening caused by thermal cycling during prolonged operation. The three-lug package supports three-phase installations without needing separate purchases.
