Three-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 100 A at 277/480 V AC with 18 kA interrupting capacity for Square D NF panelboards
The SQUARE D EDB34100 is a bolt-on miniature circuit breaker rated at 100 A with three poles. It fits Square D NF panelboards and carries an EDB frame size of 125 A. The unit operates on 277/480 V AC or 125/250 V DC systems and uses a toggle actuator with lug terminals.
The breaker delivers a maximum AIR rating of 18 kA at 277/480 V AC. This rating applies to short-circuit interruption rather than continuous overload, so the device remains closed during normal load cycles and opens only when fault current exceeds the trip curve. Maximum operating temperature is 104 Degrees F.
Installation requires bolting the breaker directly onto a compatible Square D NF panelboard bus. The 5.7 in length, 2.9 in width and 4.1 in depth must match the panelboard cavity spacing. Misaligned lug connections or incorrect phase orientation are the most common wiring errors.

The breaker is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 104 °F; sustained loads near 100 A will bring the device close to that limit, so ensure the NF panelboard enclosure has adequate ventilation to keep internal temperatures below the rating.
The breaker is designed for Square D NF panelboards and uses a bolt-on mounting style with lug terminals; it will not fit QO, Homeline or other series without an adapter that is not supplied.
The EDB34100 provides an 18 kA AIR rating at 277/480 V AC; when paired with 10 kA downstream breakers, selective coordination depends on the available fault current and time-current curves, not on the frame rating alone.
