Capacity and interface

The SSK 1TB portable SSD uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 to deliver up to 2000 MB/s on CrystalDiskMark 7.0. It suits photographers, videographers and mobile professionals who need fast external storage for large media files.

Zinc alloy case and cables

A thick zinc alloy enclosure dissipates heat 30% faster than standard shells, keeping the drive cool during sustained transfers. The box includes a 20Gbps USB-C cable and a 10Gbps USB-A cable for broad device compatibility.

Smart monitoring and mobile features

Integrated S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics and adaptive TRIM maintain write performance and extend drive life. A blue LED shows real-time transfer activity, while OTG support and sub-5W draw enable direct iPhone 15 and 16 ProRes recording.

Questions about this item

What practical speed does the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface cap at for this drive?

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface caps real-world throughput at 10 Gbps, so the drive reaches up to 2000 MB/s only on a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 host port.

What physical space and connectors are needed to use this portable SSD?

The drive uses a compact zinc-alloy case with a USB-C port and ships with both a 20 Gbps USB-C cable and a 10 Gbps USB-A cable for cross-platform connection.

How is the drive installed and what common step should be avoided?

Connect the supplied cable, wait for the blue LED to show activity, then always eject safely before unplugging to prevent data loss.
