Purpose and user

The Stand Steady ProErgo is a pneumatic ergonomic kneeling chair built for people who want to improve posture and reduce neck and back pain during long periods of seated work. It suits home offices, classrooms and shared workspaces where a compact, mobile seat is preferred over a bulky traditional chair.

Thermals noise and power

The chair has no electrical components, fans or moving mechanical parts, so it produces no heat, draws no power and operates in complete silence. Its pneumatic pump adjusts height smoothly without any motor noise, making it suitable for quiet study or open-plan environments.

Build and daily use

A strong metal base supports up to 250 lbs and provides a stable platform for the breathable three-inch fabric cushions that cover both the seat and knee pads. Four casters allow easy repositioning on hard floors or low-pile carpet, while the pneumatic lever lets each user set the height quickly without tools. The open-frame design leaves no enclosed spaces that trap dust, so routine cleaning is straightforward.

Questions about this item

How is the pneumatic height pump installed and which step is often missed?

The pump comes pre-fitted to the metal base; the step people miss is tightening the four seat-frame bolts before sitting, otherwise the height lever will not lock.

What part will need replacement first with daily use?

The three-inch fabric cushions compress over time and are the first components to require replacement.

At what load does the chair reach its structural limit during sustained use?

The metal base is rated for 250 lbs; exceeding that weight risks frame fatigue and cylinder failure.
