Compact Desktop Sharpener

The Stanley Bostitch EPS4-BLUE is a compact electric pencil sharpener designed to save space on a desktop. Hardened steel helical cutting blades produce a smooth, sharp point each time. The motor stops automatically once sharpening is complete. Over-heat protection prevents the motor from burning out.

Ideal For Light Use

Suits students, home offices or small workspaces where a lightweight sharpener is convenient. The 1.5 lbs weight makes it easy to move between desks. Buyers needing high-volume continuous sharpening or a heavy-duty unit for shared environments should consider a larger model.

Safety Interlock

A receptacle-sensing motor stops the unit immediately if the shavings tray is removed. This protects fingers from the cutting mechanism during emptying. Thermal overload shut-off adds a second layer of motor protection.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy pencils or a power cord separately?

The sharpener ships as a complete unit with its built-in receptacle tray; standard pencils and a mains outlet are the only extras required.

Which version of the EPS4-BLUE should I choose for a small desk?

The single blue model weighs 1.5 lbs and is designed as a compact desktop sharpener, so it fits tight workspaces without taking up much room.

How does the automatic-stop feature work when I am actually sharpening?

Helical steel blades sharpen the pencil to a smooth point, then the motor stops automatically; if the tray is removed the motor also cuts out for safety.
