Secure shredding for home offices

The Staples ST62151 is a cross-cut shredder built for home and small-office users who need to destroy sensitive documents, credit cards, staples and small paper clips. It reduces paper into 4.3mm x 33mm particles meeting a P-3 security level. The 4.25-gallon bin holds the waste from routine clear-outs.

Seven-minute run then long cool-down

Continuous shredding stops after 7 minutes and requires a 30-minute cool-down before the next session. This cycle limits the machine to light intermittent use rather than sustained batch processing. The 72-decibel rating keeps noise low for shared spaces.

Simple setup with jam safeguards

Place the unit on a level surface, plug it in and use the Auto Start/Stop sensor for hands-free feeding. Auto Reverse and overload protection clear most misfeeds automatically. The bin must be fully seated for the safety interlock to allow operation.
