This 15ft orange Category 6 patch cable uses a slim 28AWG bare copper construction that is 36% slimmer than standard cables to improve airflow in dense racks. Gold-plated snagless RJ45 connectors and a low-smoke zero-halogen jacket support 10Gbps data rates and 100W Power over Ethernet.

Installers Needing Flexible High-Density Runs

The thin, flexible design suits crowded network cabinets and patch panels where cable management space is limited. Buyers who require solid-conductor cable for longer permanent link distances should consider alternative cable types.

Questions about this item

Which length should I choose for a typical desk-to-switch run?

The cable is supplied in a 15ft length, which suits most desk-to-switch or patch-panel connections without excess slack.

What does the 10Gbps rating mean for my actual network speed?

The cable is rated for 10Gbps throughput, so it will not bottleneck a 10GBASE-T link provided your switch, router and NIC also support that speed.
