10 ft Cat5e patch cable

This 10 ft white Cat5e patch cable provides a Fast Ethernet connection for home or office networks. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts resist oxidation and maintain signal integrity over time. A snagless boot protects the locking tab during frequent insertions and removals. Molded strain relief reduces stress at the connector termination point.

Ideal for fixed desktop or wall-port links

The ten-foot length suits workstations positioned near a wall jack or patch panel. Snagless boots and strain relief make it reliable for permanent installs where cables are rarely moved. Buyers who need longer runs across rooms or between floors should look at something else. Installers requiring plenum-rated jackets for air-handling spaces will need a different cable type.

Fits standard RJ45 ports on routers switches

Connects directly to any Gigabit-capable router, switch or network interface card using the ubiquitous RJ45 interface. The snagless design frees adjacent ports by preventing the boot from catching on neighbouring cables. Color-coded white jacket simplifies cable management in multi-cable bundles. No additional tools or adapters are required for installation.

Questions about this item

What devices need RJ45 ports to use this 10 ft Cat5e cable?

Any router, switch, PC, NAS, printer or IP camera with a standard RJ45 jack will connect directly to the gold-plated plugs on this patch lead.

Will the snagless boots on this 10 ft white cable catch on older patch-panel ports?

The molded clip protectors slide over legacy keystone jacks and wall plates without snagging, so existing Cat5 or Cat5e patch panels stay undamaged.

How can I confirm the cable is passing traffic at Fast Ethernet speeds after plugging it in?

Link LEDs on both switch ports should light solid green or amber, and a ping test between the two connected devices will show sub-millisecond latency.
