  • 50/125 micron core carries high bandwidth over 5m
  • OFNR riser rating allows vertical runs

5m OM4 LC Uniboot Cable

This 5-metre multimode fibre cable uses LC/UPC uniboot connectors in an Erika Violet jacket. It is built for 40G and 100G links in data-centre and enterprise networks where space-saving patching is required.

Replaces Dual-Boot Patch Cords

The uniboot design merges two fibres into one connector body, halving panel density compared with traditional duplex zip-cord jumpers. The upgrade is worth it when rack-space is at a premium and 40G or 100G throughput must be maintained.

Fits High-Density Patch Panels

The 50/125 µm OM4 glass and ceramic ferrules work with standard LC transceivers and high-density cassettes. OFNR riser rating allows installation in vertical shafts, freeing pathway capacity for future cable additions.

Questions about this item

What diameter LC patch panel ports will the 2 mm uniboot connectors fit?

The duplex uniboot uses standard LC/UPC ferrules that seat in any standard LC duplex adapter panel.

How do I route the 5 m Erika Violet cable without exceeding the bend radius?

Keep bends gradual and avoid sharp corners; the aramid yarn strength member protects the 50/125 µm fibres during installation.

When should I replace this OFNR riser-rated OM4 jumper?

Replace it if insertion loss rises above your link budget or if the violet jacket shows cracks, kinks or contamination.
