SKU CH-SSJ7-WWY9K MPN A40G2MBTB4CABLE

Active Thunderbolt 4 cable delivers 40 Gbps data, 100 W power and 8K 60 Hz video over 6.6 ft

  • Active chipset keeps 40 Gbps speeds at 6.6 ft
  • Delivers up to 100 W to charge laptops
  • Provides 15 W for bus-powered peripherals
  • Works with all USB-C devices for charging and sync
  • Supports full 8K 60 Hz video output

Active Thunderbolt 4 Cable

This 2m active cable carries full Thunderbolt 4 performance at distances where passive cables lose signal integrity. It is built for professionals linking laptops, docks and high-resolution displays across a desk or rack.

Check Port Compatibility First

Verify that both host and peripheral support Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 to reach 40 Gbps data rates. The cable also works with any USB-C device for charging and syncing, but will operate at that port's native speed.

Active Chipset Maintains Signal Quality

An integrated chipset compensates for 2m length so 40 Gbps throughput and 100 W power delivery remain stable. The USB-C connectors fit standard ports without bulky overmoulds, allowing side-by-side use on crowded I/O panels.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is a power adapter needed separately?

The box contains the 2 m active Thunderbolt cable only. No power adapter is required because the cable delivers up to 100 W of USB Power Delivery 3.0 from the host port.

Should I choose this 2 m active version or a shorter passive cable for 40 Gbps?

Choose this 2 m active cable when the run exceeds 1 m; its integrated chipset maintains the full 40 Gbps rate at 2 m, whereas passive cables drop performance beyond 1 m.

What does the 40 Gbps rating mean when I plug the cable into my laptop and monitor?

With a Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 host and display, the cable sustains 40 Gbps for data and carries full 8K 60 Hz video plus up to 100 W charging simultaneously.
