VESA-Certified DisplayPort 2.1 Cable

This five-foot cable carries the VESA DP80 certification, confirming full DisplayPort 2.1 compliance for professional and enthusiast displays. It suits builders connecting high-resolution monitors or daisy-chaining panels in a multi-stream setup.

Bandwidth and Resolution Headroom

The link delivers 80 Gbps over UHBR20, handling uncompressed 10K at 60 Hz, 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 240 Hz. With DSC 1.2a compression it extends to 16K at 60 Hz, 10K at 144 Hz and 8K at 240 Hz, so headroom remains for future panel generations.

DisplayPort 2.1 Practical Limits

Length is fixed at 5 ft (1.52 m), which meets the certified passive-cable limit for UHBR20 bandwidth. Longer runs would require active or optical solutions not covered by this product, and the standard itself caps passive copper at this distance for 80 Gbps operation.

Questions about this item

Will this 5 ft 80 Gbps cable work with my older DisplayPort 1.4 monitor and GPU?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.4 and earlier devices, though maximum resolution and refresh rate will be limited by the older hardware's capabilities.

How can I verify the cable is delivering the full 80 Gbps bandwidth after connecting it?

Check your GPU control panel or monitor OSD to confirm the link is running at UHBR20 speed and that your target resolution and refresh rate, such as 4K 240Hz or 8K 60Hz, are available and selected.

Does the box include only the 5 ft DisplayPort 2.1 male-to-male cable, or are any adapters or mounting accessories bundled?

The package contains the 5 ft VESA Certified DP80 DisplayPort 2.1 male-to-male cable only; no adapters, brackets or additional accessories are included.
