Connects a PS/2 keyboard to a USB-A port on computers lacking PS/2 sockets
The GC46MFKEY connects a legacy PS/2 keyboard to a modern USB port. It is intended for users whose original keyboard shipped with a dedicated converter that has been lost or damaged. The adapter simply bridges the 6-pin Mini-DIN plug to a USB-A socket.
This adapter relies on the keyboard's own ability to speak USB protocol through its PS/2 port. It contains no active translation chip, so keyboards without dual-protocol support will not function. The specification notes this design is for replacement use only, not for universal PS/2 conversion.
The device adds one USB-A male connector and one 6-pin female port without extra cabling. It handles a single compatible keyboard reliably. It cannot support mice, multiple peripherals or keyboards that require active signal conversion.

Choose the GC46MFKEY only if your keyboard originally shipped with a PS/2-to-USB converter; otherwise the USBPS2PC is the recommended option.
It lets you attach a PS/2 keyboard to a USB-A port on the computer so the keyboard can send keystrokes through the USB interface.
The USB-A male connector fits any USB-A port, including USB 2.0, and the keyboard’s low-bandwidth signalling works within the port’s capabilities.
