20m Active HDMI Cable

This 20 metre active HDMI cable connects source and display devices over long runs without signal degradation. It is built for installers and home-theatre owners who need a reliable link beyond the reach of standard passive cables.

Built-In Amplifier Circuitry

Integrated active amplifier circuitry boosts the signal across the full 20 metre distance, preventing the drop-outs and sparkles that passive cables exhibit at this length. The 28 AWG conductors keep the cable flexible while the electronics maintain integrity.

CL2 In-Wall Rating and Directional Design

CL2 rating permits in-wall routing to meet building-code requirements for permanent installations. The cable is directional; the source and display ends are marked and must be connected correctly or no picture will appear.

Questions about this item

What does the 20 m distance mean once the cable is installed in a real setup?

The built-in active amplifier circuitry maintains signal integrity across the full 20 m run, so 4k×2k Ultra HD video reaches the display without degradation.

How does the active HDMI interface affect what resolutions and distances are practical?

The active design boosts the TMDS signals, allowing the cable to carry 4k×2k Ultra HD at 20 m where a passive copper cable would fail.

What physical requirements does the 28 AWG CL2-rated cable have for in-wall routing?

At 28 AWG the cable is thin enough to pull through standard wall cavities, and the CL2 rating means it meets fire-safety codes for permanent in-wall installation.
