MPO/MTP Multimode Coupler OM3/OM4

This aqua-coloured coupler joins two multimode OM3 or OM4 MPO/MTP cables to extend a multi-fibre link. It features a Key Up to Key Down alignment for correct polarity management. Dust covers protect the ferrule end-faces when the coupler is not in use. The unit is designed for patch panel or cassette mounting in structured cabling environments.

Extends Existing MPO Trunk Cables

Use this coupler when a single trunk cable run falls short of the required distance between panels. It adds minimal insertion loss while maintaining OM3/OM4 bandwidth performance. The Key Up-Key Down configuration suits standard polarity Method B deployments. Not suited for single-mode OS1/OS2 networks or for joining cables with mismatched fibre counts.

Questions about this item

Will this aqua MPO/MTP coupler fit a standard LGX patch-panel opening?

The coupler is built to the standard MPO/MTP form factor used in LGX-compatible panels, so it slides into any panel cut-out that accepts a regular MPO adapter plate.

How do I install the coupler without reversing the fibre polarity?

Insert each cable with its key oriented the same way as the coupler's fixed Key Up-Key Down alignment; the aqua housing and keyed shutters only latch when the polarity matches, preventing an accidental flip.
