20 ft LSZH Cat6a S/FTP Cable

This 20 ft Cat6a cable uses Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen jacketing and S/FTP shielding for structured wiring in commercial and residential spaces. It is suited for installers and IT teams who require plenum-safe materials and multi-gigabit throughput up to 10 Gbps.

S/FTP Shielding with LSZH Jacket

The cable combines foil-shielded twisted pairs and an overall braid screen to suppress EMI and RFI across the run. Its LSZH construction limits toxic smoke and corrosive gas release during a fire, meeting safety requirements that standard PVC cables do not satisfy.

100 W PoE++ and 10 Gbps Headroom

Certified to IEEE 802.3bt-2018, the cable delivers up to 100 W to Type 4 PoE devices such as wireless APs and PTZ cameras. It handles 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 Gbps links; runs beyond the 100 m channel limit or connections requiring unshielded patch cords fall outside its design scope.

Questions about this item

What does the 10Gbps rating mean once the cable is installed in a real machine?

It supports Multi-Gigabit speeds of 1, 2.5, 5 and 10Gbps, so connected devices can negotiate the highest rate they both support over the 20ft run.

What interface standard does the cable follow and what does it cap in practice?

It complies with IEEE 802.3bt-2018 for 100W PoE++, capping delivered power at 100W for Type 4 PoE devices.

What does the cable physically need to fit or mount in a rack or wall plate?

Snagless RJ45 connectors with integrated strain-relief boots prevent latch damage and sharp bends at termination points.
