Dual-port 10Gbps SFP+ OCP 3.0 network adapter with Intel X710 controller for server connectivity
This StarTech O1210I-NETWORK-CARD provides two 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports in an OCP 3.0 form factor. It uses the Intel X710 controller for high-throughput server networking. The card targets administrators upgrading rackmount or blade systems that require dual-port 10GbE connectivity.
Replaces older single-port 10GbE or dual-port 1GbE OCP adapters when bandwidth or port density must increase. The jump is justified when virtualised workloads, storage replication or high-frequency trading saturate existing links and the chassis accepts OCP 3.0 modules.
Installation follows the OCP 3.0 specification: slide the module into the cage until the latch engages. No screws or cables are required inside the chassis. The most common issue is mismatched SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables that exceed the switch port budget, causing link negotiation failures.

The card uses the OCP 3.0 specification, so it fits any server chassis or motherboard that provides a standard OCP 3.0 mezzanine slot.
After inserting the card, install the Intel X710 driver package for your OS, then enable SR-IOV in the BIOS before configuring virtual functions in the hypervisor.
Both SFP+ cages accept standard 10 Gbps SFP+ transceivers, so you can swap copper or fibre modules later without replacing the card.
