STARTECH RHDMM2MPW svga cable

SKU CH-C8CZ-N790A MPN RHDMM2MPW

Premium high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet, six-foot length in white finish

  • Premium build ensures reliable 10 Gbps data transfer
  • SFP+ MSA and SFF-8431 compliance guarantees broad compatibility
  • Cisco SFP-10G-AOC5M= matching simplifies network integration
  • Ultra-thin active optical design reduces rack congestion
  • Serialized testing confirms error-free high-density performance

High-Speed SFP+ Active Optical Cable

This StarTech SFP+ active optical cable connects network equipment at speeds up to 10 Gbps. It is built for 10 Gigabit Ethernet, InfiniBand and Fibre Channel applications. The cable complies with the SFP+ MSA and SFF-8431 industry standards. It is programmed, tested and serialized for reliable operation.

Cisco-Compatible Interconnect for Dense Deployments

The ultra-thin, lightweight design suits high-density rack environments where airflow and space are constrained. It works with Cisco switches, routers and servers as well as non-proprietary 10 Gb networking gear. Buyers who need copper twinax cables or direct-attach solutions should consider other cable types.

10 Gbps SFP+ Interface Speed

The single specification that decides fit is the 10 Gbps data rate delivered over an SFP+ active optical interface. Verify that your switch ports, routers or servers support SFP+ modules at this speed before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the active optical components in this 10 Gbps cable need periodic replacement?

Active optical cables integrate laser and receiver modules permanently; no user-serviceable parts are designed for replacement during normal operation.

What is the first limitation reached when running this SFP+ AOC at 10 Gbps continuously?

The SFP+ MSA and SFF-8431 specifications define the electrical and thermal envelope; sustained line-rate traffic stays within those validated limits.

How much heat does this ultra-thin AOC generate when linked between switches all day?

Active optical cables consume less power than copper equivalents at 10 Gbps, reducing heat load and improving airflow in dense racks.
