The StarTech SFPCMM5M is a 5 metre passive Twinax copper cable with SFP+ connectors on both ends. It is designed, programmed and tested for 100 percent compatibility with Cisco switches and routers including Firepower and ASR920 series. The cable complies with MSA industry standards and is hot-swappable.

Sustained Load Behaviour

As a passive direct attach cable it draws very little power and generates minimal heat during continuous 10 Gbps operation. The 24 AWG conductors and 100 Ohm impedance maintain signal integrity over the full 16.4 foot length without active signal conditioning. This makes it suitable for permanent rack-to-rack or switch-to-server links.

Deciding Specification
