A 1000 ft bulk roll of blue Cat 5e stranded UTP patch cable with 24 AWG conductors rated up to 350 MHz for Fast Ethernet networks
This 1000 ft roll of blue Cat5e stranded UTP cable is built for installers wiring offices, schools or data centres. The 24 AWG copper conductors support Power over Ethernet, so access points and cameras can draw power over the same run. Supplied as bare wire on a reel, it lets technicians cut exact lengths and terminate with RJ45 plugs on site.
Replacing legacy Cat5 cable with this Cat5e roll removes the 100 MHz bottleneck and adds headroom for 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet and 1 Gbps links. The jump is worth it when you are pulling new cable through conduit or ceiling voids and want a single reel that serves every drop without splices. It also replaces collections of pre-made patch cords that create clutter and limit length flexibility.
The unshielded twisted-pair construction is rated to 350 MHz by the manufacturer, while the cable rating listed is 500 MHz, giving margin above the 100 MHz Cat5e standard. Without shielding, the cable is more susceptible to electromagnetic interference in dense cable trays or near fluorescent lighting. Stranded conductors improve flexibility for patching but increase attenuation, so runs should stay within the 100 m channel limit for reliable gigabit operation.

The 24 AWG stranded conductors are flexible enough for standard low-voltage conduit and cable trays; allow a little extra radius because stranded wire bends more easily than solid core.
Use RJ45 plugs rated for stranded 24 AWG wire and a matching crimp tool; do not punch stranded conductors into IDC keystone jacks designed for solid wire.
Re-test after any physical damage, tight bends beyond the minimum radius, or if certification shows performance dropping below the 350 MHz rating.
