  • 8 m cable with inline controller keeps volume and mute within reach

Multi-Platform Wired Headset

The SteelSeries Arctis RAW connects via a universal 3.5mm plug to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC and mobile devices. It uses 40mm dynamic drivers with a 20-22000Hz frequency response and 32 ohm impedance. The 2.8m cable includes an inline controller for quick volume and mute adjustments.

Upgrade from Basic Headsets

The detachable ClearCast microphone adds Discord-certified noise cancellation for clearer team communication. Windows 10 users gain 7.1 surround sound for positional audio in competitive titles. The lightweight frame and signature soundscape highlight subtle in-game details that standard stereo headsets often miss.

Limits of 3.5mm Analog Connection

Surround processing works only on Windows 10; consoles and mobile devices receive plain stereo output. The 98dB sensitivity and 32 ohm load are driven adequately by most controllers, but very low-power sources may limit maximum volume. No USB digital audio or wireless option is included.

Questions about this item

What cable length and plug type must my device have for the 2.8 m 3.5 mm straight connector?

The headset uses a 2.8 m cable ending in a straight 3.5 mm plug, so any controller or sound card with a standard 3.5 mm jack will accept it directly.

Which Windows setting enables the advertised 7.1 surround sound for the 40 mm drivers?

Open Windows 10 Sound Control Panel, select the Arctis RAW as the playback device, choose Spatial Sound, and pick Windows Sonic for Headphones to activate 7.1 virtual surround.

How do I know when the ear cushions on this headset need replacing?

Replace the cushions when the foam no longer springs back or the covering shows cracks, which occurs with extended daily wear.
