Portable File Box with XL Storage Lid

The Storex 61415B02C is a portable file box designed for organising and transporting letter-size hanging folders. Its extra-large lid compartment keeps supplies accessible while the clamping latch and padlock compatibility secure contents during transit. An easy-grip handle supports comfortable carrying between workspaces.

5% more capacity than the previous Storex box

This model holds five percent more hanging files than the earlier Storex portable box, making the upgrade worthwhile when archive volume has grown beyond the old limit. The reinforced construction supports loads up to 30 lbs so heavier file sets stay intact. Builders who need a second tier of drawers or fire-rated protection should consider a cabinet system instead.

Impact-resistant plastic construction

The box uses impact-resistant plastic that protects documents from knocks and drops in daily use. No water-resistance rating is specified, so outdoor or damp-environment storage is not recommended. The integrated handle and latch are moulded into the shell, eliminating loose hardware that could fail under the rated load.

Questions about this item

Does the Storex 61415B02C need a shelf or surface to sit on?

The box is freestanding with an easy-grip handle, so it sits on any flat surface without brackets or mounting hardware.

How do I secure the lid once the hanging folders are loaded?

Close the lid, snap the clamping latch shut, and add a padlock through the latch hole if you want extra security.

What parts might wear out first on the 61415B02C?

The plastic latch and handle take the most stress; if they crack, the whole box would need replacement because they are moulded into the body.
