Construction Paper for School Projects

SunWorks 6307 construction paper is a medium-weight option designed for classroom activities and general arts and crafts. The pack contains fifty sheets in a black colourway, providing ample material for group work or repeated use. It suits teachers, parents and students who need reliable paper for cutting, folding and drawing tasks.

Consistent Texture Handles Repeated Folding

The 58 lb basis weight gives each sheet enough body to hold a crease without cracking, even after multiple folds. A slightly textured surface accepts crayon, marker and pencil evenly across the sheet. Bright, consistent colouring means results look uniform whether the project is a single cut-out or a large collage assembled over several sessions.

Recyclable Sheets With No Recycled Content

Prang has manufactured this paper since 1882 using virgin fibres, resulting in zero pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled content. The sheets are fully recyclable after use, supporting standard classroom waste streams. No special disposal steps are required beyond normal paper recycling bins.

Questions about this item

Does the 58 lb paper generate dust or fibres when cut all day?

The 58 lb construction paper has a slightly textured surface that cuts cleanly without cracking, so it produces minimal loose fibres during extended cutting sessions.

What tools are needed to cut and fold the 12 x 18 inch sheets?

Standard scissors or a craft knife and a straight edge are sufficient; the paper folds evenly by hand without requiring a bone folder or scoring tool.

Can the 50-sheet black pack be combined with lighter-weight paper from older stock without misalignment?

Yes, the consistent 12 x 18 inch dimensions and uniform 58 lb weight keep edges aligned when mixed with other construction paper of the same sheet size.
