Dual 25 GbE SFP28 and 10 GbE RJ45 adapter

This Supermicro SIOM card adds two 25 GbE SFP28 ports and two 10 GbE RJ45 ports to a compatible server. It uses Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx EN technology for high-speed, low-latency networking. The adapter targets data-centre workloads such as virtualization and cloud computing.

Capacity and headroom

The 25 GbE SFP28 ports provide headroom for heavy east-west traffic and storage replication. The 10 GbE RJ45 ports handle existing copper infrastructure without extra transceivers. Bandwidth runs out when aggregate demand exceeds the PCIe x8 host interface or when cable reach limits the SFP28 optics.

SIOM form factor constraint
