Micro ATX server board with LGA 1700 socket, four DDR5 slots for up to 128 GB, PCIe 5.0 x16, eight SATA ports and one M.2 NVMe slot
This Supermicro MBD-X13SAQ-O motherboard is built on the Intel Q670E chipset and accepts a single 12th Generation Intel Core i9, i7, i5, i3, Pentium or Celeron processor up to 125W TDP. It fits a Micro ATX footprint measuring 9.6" x 9.6" and provides four 288-pin DDR5 memory slots supporting up to 128GB total capacity.
The board offers eight SATA 6.0Gb/s ports, one M.2 slot with PCI-E 4.0 x4 for NVMe storage, and a rich rear I/O cluster including USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C, DisplayPort 1.4a, HDMI 2.0b, DVI-D and VGA. Builders who require dual-socket scaling, registered ECC memory or more than one full-length PCI-E 5.0 x16 slot should look at larger form-factor platforms.
The platform guarantees DDR5 4000 operation with two single-rank DIMMs, DDR5 3600 with two dual-rank DIMMs, and DDR5 4400 only when a single module is populated. If the target workload demands sustained four-DIMM speeds above 4000 MT/s, this motherboard will not meet that requirement.

Yes, the eight SATA 6.0Gb/s ports are backward compatible with earlier SATA revisions, so existing SATA SSDs and hard drives will connect and function normally.
Power on the system and watch for the POST screen on a monitor connected to the VGA, DVI-D, DisplayPort 1.4a or HDMI 2.0b output; successful boot to the BIOS or operating system confirms basic operation.
The motherboard itself is supplied; you must separately buy a compatible LGA 1700 processor, DDR5 UDIMM modules, storage drives, a Micro-ATX case, power supply and any required cables.
