LGA 3647-0 1U heat sink for X11 Purley

This Supermicro SNK-P0067PD heat sink fits the LGA 3647-0 socket on X11 Purley platform servers. It is built for 1U chassis where vertical space is limited. System integrators and server administrators use it to cool supported CPUs in dense rack environments. The part is supplied new and ready for installation.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The aluminium fin stack and copper base transfer heat from the processor to the chassis airflow. Fan speed is managed by the server board, so acoustic output follows the system fan curve. Power draw is limited to the board fan header and adds no separate load. Buyers needing a taller cooler for larger enclosures cannot use this 1U profile.

Questions about this item

How is the SNK-P0067PD heat sink installed on the LGA 3647-0 socket, and which step is most often done incorrectly?

Align the heat sink with the four mounting posts on the motherboard, then tighten the captive screws in a diagonal cross pattern. The step most often missed is the cross-pattern tightening, which can leave uneven pressure on the CPU.

What maintenance or replacement will the SNK-P0067PD heat sink need during its service life?

The heat sink itself is a passive metal component with no moving parts and requires no scheduled replacement. Periodic dust removal from the fins with compressed air is the only maintenance needed to maintain thermal performance.
