4-Channel 1080p WiFi NVR Kit

The SuperSonic SC-5004NVR-Kit is a four-channel wireless surveillance system delivering 1920 x 1080 resolution video through a pre-installed 1TB hard drive. It connects via 802.11 b/g/n WiFi for cable-free camera placement and includes a network video recorder for centralised management.

Homeowners wanting app-based monitoring

Suits users who need IP66-rated outdoor cameras with infrared night vision and two-way audio for visitor communication. Not for installers requiring wired PoE connections, more than four channels, or higher-resolution sensors beyond 1080p capability.

1TB drive holds weeks of H.264/H.265+ footage

The recorder manages four simultaneous 1080p streams using efficient compression to maximise the built-in terabyte. Storage fills faster with continuous 24/7 recording on all channels or higher motion activity, requiring manual offload or overwrite to continue capturing.

Questions about this item

Does the NVR need a router with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi for the cameras to connect?

Yes, the cameras link to the NVR over 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, so your router must support that standard for wireless operation.

Can I add the SC-5004NVR-Kit cameras to an existing wired NVR that uses H.264 or H.265+ compression?

No, the kit’s cameras are designed to pair only with the supplied 4-channel wireless NVR; they do not connect to third-party wired recorders.

How do I confirm the 1 TB hard drive is recording 1080p footage after setup?

Open the Supersonic app on Android or iOS, play back a clip, and verify the timestamped video shows 1920 x 1080 resolution with smooth playback.
