SKU CH-YA90-6FX8G

Single-fibre bidirectional optical module transmitting at 1310 nm and receiving at 1490 nm over 10 km

  • Single-fibre bidirectional link simplifies cabling
  • Gigabit speed handles 10 km campus spans
  • 1310 nm TX and 1490 nm RX wavelengths paired
  • Model FTM-9612C-SL10G identifies the exact module

Single-fibre bidirectional optics

The Supersuperuncle FTM-9612C-SL10G is a Gigabit optical module that uses a single fibre strand for both transmit and receive. It operates at 1310 nm in one direction and 1490 nm in the other, covering distances up to 10 km. Network engineers deploying point-to-point links or fibre-to-the-premises runs can install a matched pair to establish a full-duplex connection without laying a second fibre.

Replaces dual-fibre transceivers

This module replaces conventional two-fibre transceivers when only one strand is available or when halving fibre count reduces installation cost. The jump is worth it when existing infrastructure limits you to a single core and you need a guaranteed 10 km reach at Gigabit speed. It is not suited for links requiring longer distances, higher data rates or dual-fibre redundancy.
