Questions about this item

Will the 290 W unit need its internal fan replaced after a few years of continuous use?

The 290 W supply uses a built-in cooling fan; under normal desktop loads it typically runs for many years before bearing noise or airflow loss requires a swap.

What component hits its limit first when the 290 W supply runs at full load for extended periods?

Sustained 290 W output stresses the electrolytic capacitors and the fan motor; either can reach thermal limits before the protection circuitry shuts the unit down.
