Compatible Dell desktop replacement

This power supply fits Dell OptiPlex 3020, 7020 and 9020 MT chassis. It replaces the L290AM-00 and AC290AM-00 units directly. The 8-pin connector matches the motherboard header on these models. Buyers with small-form-factor or micro-tower cases cannot use this unit.

290 watt output limit

The supply delivers up to 290 watts total power. Systems upgraded with high-wattage graphics cards or multiple drives may exceed this ceiling. The fixed cable harness cannot be shortened or rerouted for custom cable management. Builders needing modular cables or higher continuous power should choose a different platform.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the L290AM-00 H or the AC290AM-00 version for my Dell OptiPlex?

Both part numbers reference the same 290 W unit built for the 3020, 7020 and 9020 MT chassis; choose whichever matches the label on your original supply.

Will the 290 W rating be enough for a standard office build in one of these towers?

The 290 W rating matches Dell's original specification for the 3020, 7020 and 9020 MT, so it handles the factory CPU, memory and integrated graphics without extra headroom needed.
