  • Compatible with Finisar FTLF8519P2BNL-HW module for proven interoperability
  • Hot-pluggable SFP form factor simplifies network upgrades

Compatible SFP transceiver for Finisar

This module matches the Finisar FTLF8519P2BNL-HW specification. It operates at a 1.25G data rate over multimode fibre. The 850nm wavelength supports links up to 550 metres. It suits network administrators upgrading or repairing existing Gigabit infrastructure.

Hot-pluggable SFP form factor simplifies deployment

The small form-factor pluggable design allows insertion or removal without powering down the switch. This reduces maintenance windows and avoids disruption to connected services. The module draws power directly from the host port. No separate cables or adapters are required for installation.

Questions about this item

How often will the FTLF8519P2BNL-HW optical module need cleaning or replacement?

The module has no moving parts and no user-serviceable components; under normal indoor use it typically runs for years without any maintenance beyond keeping the LC connectors clean.

What distance limit appears first when the 1.25G 850nm link runs continuously at full load?

The 550-metre multimode fibre reach is the first hard limit — signal loss beyond that distance will degrade the link before any thermal or power constraint becomes an issue.
