Compatible server power supply

This new replacement unit matches the HP-A2307F3T part number and fits IBM A50, M50 and A30 systems. It is intended for administrators restoring or maintaining those specific servers. It will not suit builds that require a different form factor or alternative connector layout.

Thermals noise and power

The supply operates within the thermal and acoustic envelope defined for the original 74P4300 and 74P4301 units. Normal use keeps fan noise at server-room levels and power draw consistent with the rated specifications. No additional cooling or wiring changes are needed.

Questions about this item

How do I install this supply in an IBM A50 or M50 chassis, and which alignment step do people miss?

Slide the unit into the front bay until the 74P4300 connector seats fully; the latch must click before you tighten the thumbscrews or the pins will not engage.

What maintenance will the fan and capacitors need over the life of this 74P4301 unit?

Blow dust from the intake grille every six months; the internal fan bearings are sealed and the electrolytic capacitors are rated for continuous server duty without scheduled replacement.
