Supersuperuncle XFP 10G 40km Module

The Supersuperuncle XFP 10G 40km optical module XP-MR-04-CDFA is a transceiver for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fibre up to 40 kilometres. It suits network engineers and data-centre operators who need long-reach connectivity on XFP-compatible switches or routers. Buyers requiring shorter-reach, multi-mode or CWDM wavelengths should select a different module.

Installation and Common Issues

The hot-pluggable XFP form factor fits directly into a compliant cage without tools; align the module, push until it clicks, then connect the LC duplex patch cable. Failures usually come from mismatched wavelengths, dirty or damaged fibre end-faces, or inserting the module into a port that does not support the 40 km reach specification.

Confirm the module establishes a stable 10G link over the 40km single-mode fibre path and that the host system reports the expected 4-channel optical interface without errors.

What accessories are included with the XP-MR-04-CDFA and what must I source separately?

The module itself is supplied; you must provide compatible single-mode fibre patch cords with LC connectors and ensure the host equipment accepts XFP form-factor transceivers.
