8-Port USB VGA KVM Switch

The suranus 8-port USB VGA KVM switch lets one operator manage eight computers from a single VGA monitor and four USB 2.0 peripherals. It suits server rooms, test benches and multi-OS workstations where space and cable count must stay low.

Installation and common issues

Eight 1.2 m KVM cables, a wired desktop controller and an IR remote are included, so no extra cables are required for a typical setup. Front-panel buttons give immediate manual switching. The most frequent problem is mismatched video timing when a source outputs a resolution above 1920 x 1440, which the switch cannot display.

VGA resolution and USB limits

The analog VGA link tops out at 1920 x 1440, so newer 4K or ultra-wide sources must be scaled down at the host. USB 2.0 bandwidth restricts the four shared ports to keyboards, mice, printers or scanners; high-speed storage or video devices will not operate at full performance.
