Portable Crash Cart Adapter

The suranus USB Crash Cart Adapter turns a laptop into a portable KVM console for headless servers, PCs, ATMs and kiosks. It provides BIOS-level control and file transfer without installing software on the target machine. The pocket-sized unit draws power from the server-side USB connection, so no external power supply is needed. It suits administrators who need immediate physical access to rack-mounted or embedded systems.

Integrated Cable Setup

The adapter ships with a laptop-side USB cable and integrated USB and VGA cables for the target system, so no extra accessories are required. Connection is a simple two-cable process that enables instant keyboard, video and mouse redirection. The only limitation is that the target must provide a VGA port and a USB port; systems lacking either interface cannot be used with this device. No driver installation on the server side reduces configuration errors.

Sustained Session Performance

Video capture runs at 1920 x 1200 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate for the duration of a troubleshooting session. The self-powered design maintains stable operation as long as the host USB port supplies adequate current, avoiding the thermal or power interruptions that can affect externally powered units. File transfers and screenshot captures continue without frame drops during extended diagnostic work. Sessions are limited only by the laptop's own battery and storage capacity.
