3-in-1 Steel Unitacker

The Swanson Tool STA753 is a steel staple gun that accepts both heavy-duty T50 and light-duty JT21 fasteners. It ships with 2,700 assorted staples so the tool is ready for immediate use on a variety of fastening tasks around the home or workshop.

Bottom-loading anti-jam design

Staples load from the bottom of the magazine, which simplifies reloading and reduces the chance of jams. A handle lock secures the tool in the closed position for compact storage. The all-steel body with a chrome finish resists wear during repeated use.

Suited for mixed fastener projects

This model suits DIYers and contractors who need one gun for both T50 and JT21 staples without buying separate tools. Users who require a dedicated heavy-duty gun for continuous high-volume fastening or a specialised narrow-crown stapler should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the STA753 fires correctly after loading?

Load the 2,700 assorted staples into the bottom-loading magazine, release the handle lock, and test-fire into scrap wood; a clean, flush drive shows the automatic mechanism is working.

Which staples come in the box and must I buy any separately?

The package includes 700 T50-like 5/16" staples, 800 T50-like 3/8" staples, and 1,200 JT21-like 3/8" staples — 2,700 total — so no separate purchase is needed to start.

Should I choose the STA753 AM or another Unitacker model?

The STA753 AM is the only 3-in-1 Unitacker listed; it accepts both Arrow Heavy Duty (T50) and Light Duty (JT21) fasteners, weighs 1.08 pounds, and measures 6.14 x 4.72 x 0.98 inches.
