Compatible commercial water filter

The Swift Green SGF-8812ELX is a compatible replacement cartridge for 3M CFS8812-ELX, 5601205 and BEVGUARD BGC-3200 systems. It is certified to NSF/ANSI 42 standard and reduces volatile organic compounds, chlorine taste and odor, cysts, sediment, dirt and rust. The filter uses activated carbon made from coconut shells, which provides 50% more micro-pores than other carbon sources. It does not remove beneficial minerals from the water.

Build integration and maintenance

The cartridge installs without tools and replaces the original filter in compatible commercial dispensers. It frees the system from scale build-up and contaminant passage while retaining mineral content. Made in the USA from BPA, lead and arsenic-free materials, it is designed for straightforward DIY replacement. The white filter housing fits the existing head assembly without modification.

Replacement schedule and environmental impact

The manufacturer recommends changing the filter every four to six months for best performance. Using coconut shell carbon, a renewable resource, the cartridge offers an eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic bottles. This approach keeps plastic waste out of landfills while delivering high-capacity filtration. Regular replacement ensures consistent reduction of the listed contaminants.

Questions about this item

How many months of continuous use before the coconut-shell carbon reaches its contaminant-capture limit?

Replace the cartridge every four to six months; the coconut-shell carbon provides 50% more micro-pores than conventional media, but capacity is finite under sustained flow.

Does the filter housing or media add noticeable heat or noise to the water line during all-day operation?

The passive cartridge has no moving parts, adds no heat and produces no noise; water simply passes through the activated carbon and exits at line temperature.

Which existing filtration head or system must already be installed for this cartridge to connect and function?

It fits 3M CFS8812-ELX, 5601205, BEVGUARD BGC-3200 and CELFXL-1M heads; the cartridge threads directly into those compatible housings without tools.
