Questions about this item

How do I install the SGF-W41 filter and what step do people often miss?

Push the filter into the housing until it clicks, then run water through the dispenser for several minutes to flush carbon fines before first use.

What maintenance does the filter need and when should I replace it?

Replace the filter every 3 to 6 months for best performance; no cleaning or servicing is required between changes.

Which contaminant-reduction capacity is reached first during continuous use?

The filter is certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 standards, so chlorine taste, lead, cysts, VOCs and pharmaceuticals are reduced until the rated capacity is exhausted.
