Refrigerator Filter Two-Pack

This two-pack supplies compatible replacement cartridges for pharmaceutical-grade refrigerator models. Each unit fits a range of OEM part numbers including 4396841 and 4396710. The carbon-block media targets volatile organic compounds, pharmaceuticals, chlorine taste and odour, lead, cysts and mercury. It is designed for residential use and installs without tools.

Certified Contaminant Reduction

Independent testing confirms compliance with NSF/ANSI standards 42, 53 and 401 at a .5 micron rating. The coconut-shell carbon block reduces the listed contaminants while retaining beneficial minerals. Flow rate remains steady for everyday dispensing and ice production. Replace each cartridge every three to six months for consistent performance.

US-Made Eco Materials

Filters are manufactured in the USA from BPA-free, lead-free and arsenic-free raw materials. The renewable coconut-shell carbon lowers environmental impact compared with single-use plastic bottles. White plastic housings measure 12.75 by 5.2 by 2.6 cm and weigh 1.6 kilograms per pack. No additional accessories or software are included.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SGF-W71 Rx filter and what step causes leaks?

Push the filter straight into the housing until it clicks, then run water for 5 minutes to clear carbon fines; the step people miss is fully seating the filter before locking it, which prevents bypass leaks.

When does the SGF-W71 Rx need replacement?

Replace every 3 to 6 months for best performance; the carbon block media exhausts its adsorption capacity for pharmaceuticals, VOCs, lead, cysts and mercury over that period.

What limits the SGF-W71 Rx during continuous high-volume use?

The .5 micron carbon block reaches pressure-drop limits first as captured particulates and adsorbed contaminants clog the pores, reducing flow before the 3-to-6-month calendar interval ends.
