Questions about this item

Does the SGF-W84 Rx filter come with any installation hardware or tools, or is it a cartridge-only purchase?

The filter is sold as a single cartridge in a pack of one; no tools or extra hardware are included, and the design allows tool-free replacement by twisting the old filter out and the new one in.

Should I choose the SGF-W84 Rx over other Swift Green models for pharmaceutical and VOC reduction?

The SGF-W84 Rx is the model certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401, giving it verified reduction of pharmaceuticals, VOCs, lead, cysts, mercury and chlorine taste and odour, whereas other models may not carry the 401 certification.

What does the 0.5 micron rating mean for everyday water quality from my refrigerator dispenser?

A 0.5 micron carbon block traps particles down to half a micron, so it removes fine sediment, cysts and microbial contaminants while maintaining normal flow rate for drinking water and ice.
