Product identity

The Swingline 747 Classic is a full-strip desktop stapler finished in royal blue and built for everyday office use. It drives staples through up to 20 sheets of paper per press and is sold as a single unit.

Who it suits and who it does not

This model suits anyone who needs a reliable, low-effort stapler for routine document assembly at a desk. It is not for users who require heavy-duty capacity beyond 20 sheets, long-reach stapling, or electric operation.

Deciding specification

The 20-sheet capacity is the single figure that tells you whether this stapler matches your workload. If your typical jobs stay at or below that thickness, the 74724 will handle them; if you regularly bind thicker stacks, you will need a different tool.

Questions about this item

How many sheets can the Swingline 74724 staple at once in daily use?

The Swingline 74724 handles up to 20 sheets of standard paper per staple, so it covers typical reports and multi-page letters without jamming.

What staple strip does the 747 model take and how does that affect reloading?

The 747 uses a full strip of standard 1/4-inch staples, meaning you load a complete stick at once and get more staples between refills.

Its compact desktop footprint sits easily in most drawers or on a shelf, and the royal blue finish makes it quick to spot among other supplies.
