18U Open Frame Server Rack

This 18U four-post open frame rack is built for 19-inch IT, network, AV, VoIP and telecom equipment. It fits standard cage-nut hardware and serves IT rooms, network closets and infrastructure installations. Heavy-duty steel construction provides a static load capacity of 440 to 460 lbs. The open design promotes natural airflow and simplifies cabling, patching and equipment changes.

Suited for 19-inch gear needing adjustable depth

Installers who require a floor-standing rack with a depth range of 24 to 37 inches will find this frame compatible with servers, switches, routers, patch panels and UPS units. The included 50-piece cage nut and bolt set plus lockable casters support mobile or stationary deployment. Buyers who need enclosed sides, integrated cooling or a smaller footprint should consider a different form factor.

Adjustable 24 to 37 inch depth range

The single specification that determines fit is the adjustable mounting depth spanning 24 inches to 37 inches. This range decides whether your deepest rackmount hardware will seat properly inside the 18U vertical space. Verify your equipment depth against this window before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware is included and will I need to buy extra cage nuts later?

The rack ships with a 50-piece cage nut and bolt set for the square mounting holes; additional cage nuts are only needed if you exceed 50 mounting positions.

At what depth setting does the 440 lb static load rating apply?

The 440 lb static load capacity is the baseline rating; the manufacturer notes capacity can reach 460 lbs depending on rack height, not depth position.

How much heat builds up inside the open frame when equipment runs continuously?

The open frame design allows natural airflow circulation around all four sides, so heat does not accumulate inside the rack structure itself.
