Pocket FM Radio for Outdoor Use

The T.TAOMI Carbon FM radio is a compact, battery-powered receiver designed for listeners who want portable FM entertainment. Its built-in DSP filter chip delivers clear reception for music, news and talk programmes while you walk, jog or exercise at the gym. A rechargeable lithium cell provides up to 48 hours of continuous play from a single charge.

Suits Walkers and Gym Users — Not AM Listeners

This unit suits anyone who needs a lightweight, pocket-sized radio for outdoor fitness or casual listening and who values quick station recall with 100 presets and auto-search. Buyers who require AM band coverage or Bluetooth and TF card playback should look elsewhere, as the tuner is FM-only and those extra functions are absent.

FM-Only Tuner Decides Compatibility

The single specification that determines fit is the FM-only tuner band; if your listening depends on AM stations, this radio cannot receive them. With 3 watts of output power, a 2.5-hour charge cycle and compact dimensions of 3.0 in by 2.0 in by 5.5 in, it remains a focused FM companion for daily routines.

Questions about this item

How long will the built-in 1200mAh lithium battery last before it needs replacing?

The battery is sealed inside the unit and is not user-replaceable; after many charge cycles its capacity will gradually fall below the stated 48-hour run time, at which point the radio would need service or replacement.

What limits continuous playback during an all-day hike?

The 1200mAh cell provides up to 48 hours of listening per full charge, so battery capacity is the first limit you will reach on a long outing.

Does the speaker get hot or noisy when the radio runs at 3 watts all day?

The 3-watt output is modest and the compact 3.0 by 2.0 by 5.5 inch enclosure stays cool; the speaker produces clear audio without audible fan or thermal noise during extended use.
