The Tackston adapter converts a digital optical or TOSLINK signal into an analogue 3.5mm AUX output. It is a unidirectional DAC that only accepts optical input and cannot pass audio from a 3.5mm source to an optical destination. The yellow PVC housing identifies the cable-mount unit at a glance.

USB-powered conversion for TV audio

A 5V USB power cable must be connected for the converter to operate; without it the unit will not function.
