Definitive Edition for Xbox One and Series X

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition bundles Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on a single disc. Updated lighting, textures and draw distances refresh the classic open worlds. The package targets players who want the original three titles in one modern release.

One disc with updated visuals

The single disc contains all three remastered games, removing the need to swap media between titles. Revised lighting and higher-resolution textures change how the cities look compared to the original versions. Modernised controls and targeting aim to make on-foot and driving gameplay feel closer to current standards.

Disc install on Xbox One and Series X

Insert the disc and follow the on-screen prompts to install the collection to the internal drive. An internet connection is required for the initial update before the games become playable. Buyers without a disc drive or with limited bandwidth should note the physical media requirement.

No multiplayer modes included

The Definitive Edition does not contain the online multiplayer components that existed for the original San Andreas release. Players seeking co-operative or competitive modes will not find them in this package. The product is strictly a single-player compilation of the three main campaigns.

Questions about this item

Does the single disc need any special care or replacement over time?

The game ships on one disc; handle it by the edges, store it in its case when not in use, and clean with a soft lint-free cloth if fingerprints appear.

What limits how long I can play in one session?

The only built-in limit is the console’s own thermal management; the game itself has no session timer or battery to run down.

How much noise, heat or power does the game add when the console runs all day?

The disc spins only during loading, so the extra noise and heat are minimal; power draw is the same as any other Xbox One title.
